Stretford has always been a club with rich family links: from the Barlow bros and the School of Fishes to the Dutton dynasty to the Sharp Triplets. Well now we are pleased to welcome Miguel Stoman to the club. Just for the sake of clarity, he is the older brother of Francoise who currently bats four in the Stretford First XI (but that’s the final time we will mention the link)
Miguel,a genuine all rounder has played cricket previously in the UK for Didcot in Oxford and until recently, Southport & Birkdale and will add another layer of depth to our squads.
“I am delighted at having the chance to play at Stretford. The members and players have been very friendly and welcoming”
“I hope to play as much cricket as I can for Stretford and contribute to as many wins as possible.”
“I am looking forward to getting started and joining the team on Thursday. I have some catching up to do with runs and wickets but with hard work I’m confident. I’m also lagging behind with the number of rounds of beer I’ve bought. I hope to contribute off the pitch as well and also round the club!”
We hope you make Miguel feel at home and wish him look for the season!
